This is the mission of a new, exciting, unprecedented community initiative sponsored by the United Way of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry.

Success by 6 Vision Statement
The healthy growth and development of young children prenatal to age six offers them the best opportunity to be ready to learn and to achieve success. To that end, society benefits when families and communities meet the physical, psychological, intellectual, emotional, cultural and social needs of our youngest citizens.

How does Success by 6 work?
Through the combined forces of more than eighteen community groups, this early childhood initiative is designed to improve services for pre-schoolers, to make sure that all kids are ready to learn when they enter full-time school. SUCCESS BY 6 is uniquely tailored to the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry region and responds to the identified needs of local families by increasing investment in early childhood development and education and providing support for young children in the community.

SUCCESS BY 6 will be studying services currently offered in the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry region and will identify major areas that need attention and investment.

Our goal
SUCCESS BY 6 hopes to increase investment in pre-school programs so that all children have an equal chance to succeed when they enter school. Fundraising efforts will secure money to go towards expanding existing programs that work and towards new programs developed by communities and neighbourhoods.
